to those who furnished the photographs
used. Jack Belshaw was the main source. Others who contributed
photos were Joe Santillo and Milt Jacobs. Harry Clauson and Oran Cleerman
were important; Harry for the clippings from
the Hartford Day Spring and
the chronology of the 475th, Oran for several photos and the Camp Ellis
postcards. Charles Slakter furnished the detailed
listing of the
475th’s overseas itineraries. Of those listed, Milt Jacobs, Joe Santillo,
and Charles Slakter have left us in the past several years. Some
photos came from the Internet whose sites are credited in the Footnotes.

Jack Belshaw was the chief contributor of
tape-recorded memories. Those participating in taping sessions were
Melvin Stough and Milt Jacobs along with Jack and myself at Shelby, OH.
The entire dinner table at the Air Command
Restaurant in Delaware supplied
reminiscences. Joe Santillo recorded some of
his memories individually.
